PharmaRelations extending its Scientific Affairs arm
PharmaRelations, the Life Science Consulting Group, has since long provided talent and consulting services within the Clinical and Scientific space. In a move to strengthen this area further we have decided to establish Scientific Affairs as a separate stand-alone business to work alongside our Medical and Regulatory business units. We have employed Beatrice Öström as Nordic Head of Scientific Affairs to lead the new unit. Read more about Beatrice below.

Within Scientific Affairs we focus on providing services within all phases of Clinical trials to companies within the Life Science sector such as pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech companies as well as CRO´s. We provide research competence outside the clinical trials area -to the Biotech segment and the growing Laboratory sector that both have a need of varied scientific support.
The combination of our Medical, Regulatory and Scientific divisions together with our extensive Specialist Recruitment team make us best placed to service the industry. PharmaRelations has at present more than 170 employees in the Nordic countries. Together with our consultants and specialists within Scientific Affairs we will be able to provide a seamless service offer.

Meet Beatrice Öström, Nordic Head of Scientific Affairs
- I am delighted to welcome Beatrice Öström to PharmaRelations as Nordic Head of Scientific Affairs. Beatrice is adding valuable competence and experience to our Nordic leadership team with her extensive background from Clinical Trials in all stages and from Business Development roles within the Scientific space. Beatrice has worked with many pharmaceutical companies over the past 17 years supporting their Clinical Studies and Business Development activities.
With her long background from the CRO world and from pharmaceutical companies she understands the demands and requirements of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the importance of close collaboration between service providers and their clients. With global executive leadership experience as well as several Northern European leadership roles she has a clear global outlook on Life Science and has the experience of leading large teams in various geographic settings.
Beatrice´s most recent position was with TFS Trial Form Support as Global Executive Director of Internal Medicine and Neurology. With Beatrice in place and with the growing Scientific team around her, PharmaRelations will be able to support the Pharmaceutical and Biotech sectors with scientific support at a new level” says Fredrik Anjou, CEO of PharmaRelations.
PharmaRelations opening in Uppsala to be close, Local and Nordic
PharmaRelations works in partnership with our clients to ensure their success and the working relations are supported by geographic intimacy. We want to be both local and Nordic. Uppsala is one of the important Life Science hubs in the Nordics with a dynamic development, we are delighted to have employed Thomas Grundström to lead our Uppsala operation.
Thomas Grundström has a long background with Life Science in Uppsala as regional head of Sigma Life Science business in Uppsala and Stockholm as well as heading AFRY´s Life Science business as Business Area Manager at a national level and in Uppsala.
Earlier this year PharmaRelations opened a Skåne hub in Lund, headed by Stefan Lind. The local presence in the dynamic Skåne Life Science cluster is important to develop tight working relationships. Stefan works closely both with our Copenhagen and Stockholm offices and is integrated in the Medicon Valley Life Science Cluster together with our Danish organization.
